TURNING ROUGH IDEAS INTO POLISHED VISUALS
Bespoke design and illustration services, fresh out of Bristol
I make custom visuals for small and medium sized businesses, musicians, artists, charities and more.
In the past I've worked on hand drawn book illustrations, graphic website icons, brand logos, detailed restaurant menus, charity branding, music artwork, concept drawings and animations, to name a few.
Before beginning a project, I always like to have a good chat with my clients to understand what they're after - whether that's by email, skype or (ideally) over a cup of coffee. It helps me to see where they're coming from and to start to envision their ideas.
I work across many art and design disciplines, both by hand and screen, bringing my values of originality and friendliness to every project.
Whether you are an established company, an agency, a self-publisher, or an individual looking for a bespoke commission, feel free to get in touch to discuss what you have in mind (even if it's just an inkling of an idea).
I'm based in the innovative city of Bristol and spend most days in my studio in Bedminster.
I work alongside some awesome creatives, who create videos, sci-fi immersive art and beautiful upholstery.

“Helen is fantastic to work with. A very evocative design style, great at the brief and ideas level, combined with attention to detail too. Working with her has been a pleasure, I would definitely recommend her very highly”
— Daniel Elkan, Snowcarbon founder
Drawing and music have always played a big role in my life. Seeing live music is one of my favourite ways to unwind, and it also led me to meet my wonderful group of friends and brought me to Bristol.
I'm especially interested in working on projects that have environmental issues and positive social change at their core. From village community projects to fighting climate change, they are all important.
Before settling into my studio and life as a designer, I had all sorts of jobs! I trained as a massage therapist, catered for a chalet in the alps, worked in a hospice, was a team leader in a big craft shop, not to mention a shedload of hospitality jobs and festival work. I still spend a good chunk of my summers in a field, working on food stalls around the country.
